UdG has a long research background in the field of virtual and complementary currencies, where two patents have been achieved in this field being exploited by one of its spin-off companies, Social Currencies Management S.L.




EASY Innova is a SME based in Girona focused on ICT solutions development and exploitation. In the last 2 years, EASY Innova has opened a new line of business in the field of social currencies and social networks related to sustainable mobility in the Internet and mobile technologies. Easy Innova is interested to find new application areas of social currencies in order to expand its operation market.




Fraunhofer IDMT as representative of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. has a wide experience in research and technology transfer activities. The main interest for Fraunhofer to enrol the consortium is to be involved in the usage and deployment of virtual or complementary currencies in the healthcare sector, where they have a long and strong experience.




RES currently involves over 5.000 businesses in Belgium and 500 in Catalonia. It has a wide experience in commercial and effective implementation of the complementary currencies in real environments. Moreover, it also has the expertise to deal with national tax authorities in order to become a legal currency.


Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga


Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga has worked on research on social and knowledge-based currencies. They proposed a knowledge measurement pattern that is formulated as a new alternative social currency and also provide the consortium with their expertise in educational projects.


Estrategias Sostenibles Ekosos S.A


EKOSOS has experience in complementary currency systems, understanding them as an alternative for sustainable development, which a key part of its objectives and strategy. EKOSOS aims at gaining experience in the real deployment of complementary currency schemes for sustainable development.
